Our teachers
Daniel Bakker
Born and raised in the Netherlands, I have always been interested in languages. I grew up traveling a lot and seeing the beauty of learning a new language. After finishing my bachelor in Communications at the University of Applied Sciences Hanzehogeschool, I decided to travel around the world and get to know new cultures. I had the privilege to help people learn English and share my knowledge with others.
I love to see the growth in the skills of the students and
see their confidence grow when they see themselves improving. Learning a new language is not always easy, but the difficulties make the end results more beautiful. Besides teaching English I also started teaching Dutch, which is even more close to me of course because it’s my native language. Being a part of someone’s road to success is amazing. Learning a new language can change someone’s life and can make such a difference. This is why Stijn and me joined our forces and wanted to create this platform. So we can work with full passion together and help to realize the goals of our students.
Stijn Veentjer
My passion for languages and cultures started at an early age with stories from my grandpa who was a sailor. Him talking about faraway countries inspired me to travel and live in various countries across the world. I had the fortune to learn Spanish basics while studying in Spain and developing my teaching skills by teaching English in Nepal and Dutch in The Netherlands. These experiences have gained me an understanding of both the challenges and the rewards of learning a new language.
After studying industrial engineering and working in this
field for 1,5 years i realized i wanted to give my attention only to helping people grow their language skills. I am happy to be able to work with different people from all levels and backgrounds. I am trying to stimulate my students to improve themselves every week. To see them grow and apply their language skills in their social- and professional life is the reward that makes me love this job.
I believe that language learning should be practical and directly relevant to the daily lives and interests of my students.
